About FNAF 2!

Released in 2014, FNAF 2, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, is the direct sequel to the famous original survival horror game FNAF. It’s still about staying alive for 5 nights against haunted animatronics’ jump scares, yet featuring a new cast, location, and survival mechanics. Let’s jump in and stay safe until 6:00 AM.

FNAF 2: New Animatronics & Key Gameplay Changes

In FNAF 2, players continue playing as a night security guard working at a new Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza location. Your goal is to survive from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM each night (there are still 5 nights and 2 custom nights in total) while navigating the movements and dangers posed by numerous animatronics that roam the building at night.

New Gameplay Features:

  • No doors: Unlike FNAF 1, you can't shut doors any more!
  • Freddy mask mechanic: You use a Freddy Fazbear mask to fool animatronics when they enter your office.
  • Music box: Must be wound constantly to prevent The Puppet (Marionette) from attacking.
  • New cast of animatronics: Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Balloon Boy, Mangle, and The Puppet, in addition to the original crew.

How to Play Five Nights at Freddy’s 2

Your first night begins instantly as you start the game. The first night is also the easiest one to conquer!

Start the shift and monitor security cameras

Your shift begins at 12 PM each night. Open the camera system and switch between units to locate the animatronics and track their movements frequently.

Wind the music box

The Puppet (Marionette) will attack if the music box isn’t wound. Be sure to keep the box running continuously by holding the button to wind it, or it’s game over quickly.

Use the Freddy Mask to survive

Another crucial survival mechanic is about using the Freddy Mask. You have to quickly put on the mask when animatronics enter your office and keep it on until they leave. This tricks them into thinking you’re one of them. Remember, timing is key; too slow means a jump scare.

Game control:

Use your mouse to play the game.

Flashlight power is also a helpful tool to stop Foxy as well as check dark areas. Use it wisely alongside other tools to keep you safe across long nights in FNAF 2.
