About Backrooms Craft!

An old chair is dismantled into sticks, sticks into torches, and torches are the only thing keeping the darkness at bay. Backrooms Craft is a first-person, sandbox survival crafting game where you step through the wrong door and get trapped in endless golden corridors. All you have is a crafting table, a furnace, and what the previous expedition left behind.

What to do first in the game

You appear in the first lobby, the only area that remains unchanged between turns. The yellow line on the floor is the safe zone: structures inside are preserved; those outside are not. The most logical order:

Dismantle chairs and furniture to get sticks and planks
Craft torches, then craft a crafting table
Upgrade to stone tools, then steel using the furnace
Use the crafting table to break down furniture into components

Each tool tier unlocks materials that the previous tier couldn't mine.

Surviving in Backrooms Craft

Keep all four stats stable

Health, hunger, thirst, and morale all need to be monitored. Almond water helps keep your mind steady, and bandages close wounds from creature bites. In the dark, a torch is the barrier between you and what moves around. Some creatures just observe; others follow, so don't stand still outside the light.

Areas to prepare

The game isn't just golden corridors. You'll pass through:

White tiled pool room with a blue pool.
Server room with dim blue light.
Warehouse and hotel hallway.
Locked rooms, unusual cracks, and flickering areas.

Open your log regularly to review what you've encountered before going deeper.

Quick Controls

On PC

• WASD or arrow keys to move, Shift to run, Space to jump, C to crouch

• Hold left mouse button to dig blocks, remove furniture, or attack creatures

• Right mouse button to place blocks, eat, drink, open crafting tables or furnaces

• Keys 1 through 9 or mouse scroll to select items, E to open inventory, J to open logbook, Esc to pause

On Phone

• The joystick is located where you touch on the left; hold close to the edge to run

• Drag your finger to look, hold up on a block to dig, tap quickly to place or attack

• Jump and crouch buttons are on the right; inventory is at the end of the inventory bar
